LIN Targets 500 Certified Investigative Cadres as It Marks Nine Years
JAKARTA, SUARA NEGERI — Lembaga Investigasi Negara (LIN), an Indonesian civic organization, is preparing to expand its international network by establishing a representative office in Malaysia, as it marks nine years since its founding.
LIN Chairman Gus Robi Irawan Wiratmoko said he would meet representatives from six other countries in Malaysia on Nov. 6, 2026, to discuss the organization's international expansion and cooperation initiatives focused on food security and economic development.
He made the announcement during LIN's ninth anniversary celebration at Hotel Sunlake in Sunter, North Jakarta, on Sunday.
The event was attended by members of LIN's national leadership, advisory and supervisory boards, as well as several public figures, including Brigadier General Victor and Neneng A. Tuty, also known as Neneng Astuti, a former chairwoman of the Berkarya Party's central executive board.
Gus Robi said building the organization over the past nine years had involved significant challenges. He said LIN had developed independently, without financial support from political parties or major business conglomerates.
"Nine years ago, I took the initiative to establish LIN through a notarial registration process. The journey has not been easy. Our movement has not been funded by political parties or business conglomerates," he said.
According to Gus Robi, LIN now has an organizational presence in 10 Indonesian provinces. The organization plans to focus on strengthening its management structure, consolidating its network and improving the capabilities of its members.
"If we remain united and put aside envy, resentment and jealousy, the road ahead will be easier," he said.
Gus Robi also announced that LIN had submitted the names of around 500 candidates for a training and certification programme for investigative cadres.
The programme will provide participants with basic investigative training, he said, adding that the organization would open opportunities for other interested members to participate.
Separately, Gus Robi called on LIN's regional coordinators, known as Mandala, to prepare for an online meeting in mid-November to finalize organizational programmes aimed at supporting the administration of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka.
He also urged members to maintain organizational discipline and unity as LIN seeks to strengthen its domestic presence and expand its international network.
The ninth anniversary marks a new phase in LIN's organizational development, with plans to expand beyond Indonesia while investing in leadership, management and investigative training. (Gusti Haes)
