SUARA NEGERI | JAKARTA — The Governor of East Java is alleged to have received money related to the management of the East Java Provincial Council (DPRD)'s 2019-2024 Main Idea (Pokir) grant allocation. Therefore, Khofifah Indar Parawansa is scheduled to be questioned in court on Thursday, February 5, 2026.
KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo confirmed that the judge has requested the KPK Public Prosecutor's team to present Khofifah at the trial at the Surabaya District Court for Corruption Crimes (Tipikor).
"The witness is scheduled to appear at the trial at the Surabaya District Court on Thursday," Budi told reporters on Wednesday, February 4, 2026.
Budi stated that Khofifah's testimony is needed regarding the implementation of the grant within the East Java Provincial Government (Pemprov).
Considering that, in the examination report (BAP) of the former Speaker of the East Java Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD), the late Kusnadi, during the trial of defendants Hasanuddin, Jodi Pradana Putra, Sukar, and Wawan Kristiawan on Monday, February 2, 2026, Khofifah and several high-ranking East Java Provincial Government officials were named as beneficiaries.
The BAP stated that East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa and Deputy Governor Emil Elistianto Dardak received fees of up to 30 percent from the East Java Provincial DPRD's 2019-2024 Pokir grant applications.
In addition, other officials, including the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of the East Java Provincial Government, also received fees ranging from Heru Tjahyono and Wahid Wahyudi to Adhi Cahyono, receiving between 5 and 10 percent.
Furthermore, the Head of the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda), Muhammad Yasin, and the Head of the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD), Bobby Soemiarsono, were also said to have received between 3 and 5 percent.
"I can explain that all heads of regional government agencies (OPD) in East Java Province received fees of up to 3-5 percent from the East Java Provincial DPRD's 2019-2024 Pokir grant applications," the report stated.
Khofifah was previously questioned by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) at the East Java Regional Police Headquarters in July 2025. The Governor's office in Surabaya was also searched in December 2022. (Jeane Patikawa)
