SUARA NEGERI | JAKARTA — The Indonesian Taekwondo Board held a national selection for senior taekwondo athletes, one of the preparations for the 2026 SEA Games. The National Selection for Taekwondo Kyorugi and Poomsae was attended by 180 athletes from various regions in Indonesia.
The Chairman of the Indonesian Taekwondo Board (PBTI), Richard Tampubolon, represented by the PBTI Secretary General, Rafael, officially opened the National Selection for Taekwondo Kyorugi and Poomsae, held at the Popki Sports Hall in Cibubur, East Jakarta, yesterday.
Rafael stated that the 180 athletes participating in the national selection included 122 athletes in Kyorugi, 27 in Recognized Poomsae, 8 in Freestyle Poomsae, and 25 in Unrecognized Poomsae and Freestyle.
According to him, the athletes who underwent the national selection showed good competition, and the best athletes will be selected to prepare for the 2026 SEA Games.
