SUARA NEGERI | JAKARTA — East Jakarta PWI held its first meeting in early 2026 in the Meeting Room, Block A, 2nd Floor, East Jakarta City Administration Office, on Wednesday, January 28, 2026.
The meeting was chaired by the Acting Chair of the PWI Working Group, East Jakarta Mayor Rudolf Simbolon, and attended by all members of the Working Group. The main agenda of the meeting was to discuss the work program of the East Jakarta PWI Working Group, which will be implemented throughout 2026.
In his remarks, Rudolf encouraged all members to strengthen synergy and unity in implementing the program, which will begin next February.
"I would like to thank you all for attending. This meeting serves as a forum to foster camaraderie and strengthen togetherness. I hope that in 2026 we will be more solid and synergistic, especially in implementing the flagship program (Pokja)," said Rudolf.
Rudolf stated that one of the priority programs to be implemented soon is community service activities, ahead of Ramadan.
"We will carry out social activities such as community service and donations to the community, especially in East Jakarta. This demonstrates the PWI Working Group's real concern and contribution to the community," he said.
In 2026, the PWI Working Group for the Mayor of East Jakarta will promote the SINERGI Program, which encompasses six main pillars: community service, information, education, research, movement, and innovation.
Under the community service pillar, the East Jakarta PWI will introduce the roles, functions, and responsibilities of journalists and the PWI organization to the public.
Furthermore, the PWI Working Group is committed to supporting the East Jakarta City Government in disseminating development policies and programs through positive, educational, and balanced reporting.
In the information sector, the SINERGI program focuses on strengthening the flow of accurate and reliable public information. Activities include educating the public about combating hoaxes, improving media literacy, and strengthening communication networks between the media and local government agencies. (*)
