SUARA NEGERI | JAKARTA — President Prabowo Subianto welcomed Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese during a working visit to the Merdeka Palace on Friday, February 6, 2026, as part of strengthening bilateral relations between Indonesia and Australia in the Indo-Pacific region.
The visit was marked by the signing of a historic Mutual Security Agreement, demonstrating the two countries' commitment to strengthening defense and security cooperation to create a more secure region.
Furthermore, the two leaders also agreed on new economic cooperation aimed at encouraging increased trade, investment, and job creation in Indonesia and Australia.
